• จับสายหิ้วถุงแล้วเหวี่ยงหรือโยนถุงเชือกไปยังคนตกน้ำหรือผู้คอยความช่วยเหลือ
• ผู้ที่ตกน้ำหรือคนคอยช่วยเหลือคว้าสายเชือกพร้อมจับห่วงหรือกอดรัดถุงให้แน่น
• ผู้ช่วยเหลือเกี่ยวคาราบิเนอร์ไว้กับเข็มขัด หรือผูกเชือกไว้กับที่มั่นคง
• ย่อตัวเพื่อลดแรงดึง
• ผู้ช่วยเหลือ  ดึงเชือกลากคนตกน้ำเข้าฝั่ง
